The new and rather isolated Platform 5 at Stevenage station (for services via Hertford North) - cycle access via stairs or lift, outside the area of the ticket barriers.

Bus boarders have now been installed on the Great Western Road pop-up cycle lane, and await markings. The transition is a bit rough, but not as bad as the step for bus passengers at the raised kerb.

Mill Road bridge

Abandoned hot tub shop gets more priority than cycling here. Typical Highways England. (in the distance you can see the fancy new Swavesey / Boxworth End bridge)

Mediocre crossing of Bar Hill perimeter road. It is set away from the roundabout but it forces you to cross both ways at once. Visibility is poor coming from this direction.

New Bar Hill bridge.

Parallel Toucan and Pegasus crossings.

Overly wide and dangerous expanses of tarmac to cross, with vehicles speeding on/off the roundabout, a Highways England signature.

Newly renovated crossing (4m wide), now single stage & wider.

Bridge carrying public footpath over the A14. This provides a useful connection for cyclists from Huntingdon Road to the access road that runs north-west, on the north side of the A14.

New NMU path on Dry Drayton Road bridge

New access road on the north side of the A14, used for local farm access only.

The hideously narrow cycle lanes painted recently in Girton. Too narrow for a person in a handcycle to use, and often covered in parked cars anyway.

Thanks (but sorry) Cardiff! Day 1 has been a huge success at the Castle Quarter Café. But you’ve eaten nearly all the restaurants out of food! Café now closing, slightly earlier than the 8.30 last orders time. See you from 10am tomorrow ... [more]

Well used racks by day, and mostly empty at night see #146065.

The bit of Hartling Drove Road after route 30 peels off through Santon Downham is largely sand! https://t.co/PAOVtJn6C9 https://t.co/ISYNlIOhKg

Bus gate signs that should mean this restriction becomes enforceable.

On the plus side they haven't put a 'Cyclists Dismount' sign here, which is to be commended. On the downside, we have lots of signs on the pavement. We need a LTN/change in the law.

No right of way between Ham Lane and Paul's Lane.

  • Icon 147776 Remove the stealth culleys. They can take novice riders of. Deeper gulleys with grates over would be safer.
  • Icon 147775 No marked cycle way through North Street, the busiest and most dengerous place to cycle in Bourne
  • Icon 147774 Cycle paths / path is not wide enough from the roundabout to Tesco
  • Icon 147773 Add clear markings to show the painted northbound cycle lane is not intended for southbound cycle traffic. Also regularly repaint the southbound markings. The use of this road by hgvs seems to scrub these markings quickly
  • Icon 147772 Introduce a bylaw that makes it an offence to dangerously block a cycleway with road signs. Often signs here are massive and not lit when traveling southbound by bike, so at night you're blinded by car lights and then hit the back of an obstacle that has been placed for 'safety' purposes.
  • Icon 147771 Better signage to inform pedestrians that they to must keep left on the corners.
  • Icon 147770 Remove the no cycling restriction in this lane.
  • Icon 147769 Too many kids arriving on narrow pavements and to many parents in cars. It was necessary to install cameras here before. This road should be closed between 08:00 and 09:30 and from 14:45 to 15:15 to enable parents and kids to remain socially distanced whilst picking up and dropping off.
  • Icon 147767 The NCN 54 cycle route through the car park needs to be properly marked or better still not go through the car park at all but via another route instead
  • Icon 147766 Can you reinstall the signs and stiles to stop cycles using the Wandle Trail footpath between River Gardens and Nightingale Road. It's narrow and dangerous for pedestrians when cyclists speed along it. There is already a cycle route along The Causeway yet they always use the footpath.
  • Icon 147765 The pavement corners on both Strawberry Lane and Denmark Road (Mill Lane end) are far too narrow and the roads are too wide, cars rarely slow to allow you cross.
  • Icon 147764 Make this road a 30mph
